NYC composer/lyricist/playwright mixing the scientific, the political, and the personal to create relatable stories about the unfamiliar
Sam's work reflects her identity as a butch lesbian, and her interests and expertise in environmental justice, civil engineering, flood management, and entomology.
In 2023, she graduated from Princeton University, where she was the head writer of the Princeton Triangle Club. Original compositions include Mangroves, a musical comedy about climate change, activism, and self-awareness, and The Woman Who Built the Brooklyn Bridge, a children's musical introducing engineering concepts.
Currently, Sam resides in Brooklyn, where she is writing Bury Yours Gays, a new musical comedy about nature, obsession, and insectoid eldritch monsters.
